AS9100D Certified
As an AS9100D certified magnet supplier, Dura Magnetics continually ensures that our business and manufacturing practices properly follow the requirements set forth by the standard.
The AS9100 standard is a Quality Management System for the manufacturing industry designed to improve and maintain quality and consistency for aircraft and aerospace companies. This standard is based upon the ISO 9001 standard, but has additional requirements to address unique aspects of the aerospace industry. OEMs who have a requirement for suppliers to be AS9100 certified to work with major aerospace manufacturers can choose Dura Magnetics with confidence that all issues related to certification and regulations will be met.
ITAR Registered & Compliant
We are registered and compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This qualifies us to work with items listed on the United States Munitions List (USML). We are also ITAR registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC).
DFARS
The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) specialty-metal clauses defines what is considered a “specialty metal”, how it can be legally procured and supplied for U.S. government contracts, and how it can be incorporated into a downstream product.
With limited DFARS-compliant material available worldwide, it can sometimes be cost prohibitive for those customers who need smaller production runs of magnets. However, we stock DFARS-compliant material in a variety of grades and can machine it directly at our U.S. facility, even for sample orders and smaller production runs. This makes DFARS compliant magnets to all customers, regardless of the size or the specific needs of their project.
